SAMBASHIYA is an interior project for a cafe on the second floor of the Kure Central Pier Terminal in Kure, southwest Hiroshima Prefecture.

Kure中央码头俯瞰整个Kure港口，因其地形，这是一个天然形成的港口。该港口为附近上班和上学的人们提供便利，并紧挨大和博物馆，虽然地理位置不错，但人烟稀少，给人一种荒凉的感觉。
The Kure Central Pier Terminal overlooks Kure Port, which is said to be a natural harbor due to its topography. The terminal, which supports people commuting to work and school, is next to the Yamato Museum and although in a good location, it is sparsely populated and gives the impression of being deserted.

咖啡厅选址在码头二层西南侧的两个空间内，通过窗户能够看到平静的濑户内海。
The project site is located on two plots on the southwest side of the terminal’s second floor, with windows overlooking the calm Seto Inland Sea.

为了响应顾客的要求，能够让更多的人享受到这里的景色和轻松的氛围，设计者将咖啡厅围绕一个开放式的厨房进行布置，在布局上让每个座位的视线互不干扰并都朝向大海。
In response to the client’s request that many people enjoy this view in a relaxed atmosphere, the cafe is arranged around an open kitchen and laid out so that the line of sight from each seat facing the sea does not collide.

顾客可以使用咖啡厅的菜单点餐，并在室外享受美食，店内所有的墙壁都使用了SETO石膏，以打造一个中性的像盒子一样的空间。通过在空间中关键的位置添加醒目的颜色，设计者的目的是创造一个令人愉悦的、与室外形成对比的空间。
As SAMBASHIYA is a cafe with a menu that allows customers to enjoy eating outside as well as inside, all the walls inside the shop are finished with SETO plaster to create a neutral box-like space. By adding eye-catching colors in key places, the aim was to create a pleasant space that contrasts with the outdoors.
