with an intriguing darken and geometric form, the katalis EV.1000 the arsenale special edition is exactly that – special. the electric motorcycle was designed and produced by young designers based in jakarta, indonesia in collaborated with the french automotive gallery the arsenale. it follows the success of its WWII fighter aircraft-inspired predecessor, the katalis EV.500.

the unique form of the katalis EV.1000 the arsenale special edition combines nostalgic, functional design with modern sustainable technologies. made from a new form of aluminum – series 6061 – the geometric body is characterized by dominant black matte color wrapped with an orange striped pattern. this was derived – and matches – the french gallery’s corporate identity. the retro design of the instrument panel matches that of the predecessor, whilst a new electronic dashboard has been added, which measures speed, rider position and system performance in real time.

the electric motorcycle aims to show the way for two-wheelers in indonesia and further afield. it runs on a 1000 watt-capacity motor supported by a 48V 45Ah battery. this helps it accelerate to a top speed between 43-50 mph (70-80 kph) and offers a range of 56 miles (90km) per charge.
