SONDORS has unveiled the metacycle — an electric motorbike designed for adventurous people. free from noise, vibration, fumes and fuelling stations, the metacycle features the company’s exclusive cast‘eco-frame’with a sleek, narrow profile. as for specs, it is equipped with a 4000 watt hour 72 volt battery that gives you the ability to roam free up to 80 miles.

known for their e-bikes, the metacycle is SONDORS first fully-electric motorcycle and starts at a relatively affordable price of USD$5.000. built around an aluminum frame, the bike is lightweight, weighting around 200 pounds and can be charged in about four hours from any 110-volt wall outlet. its 14.5-kW hub motor has around 20 horsepower and provides a nominal 8kW of thrust under most conditions with a top speed of 80mph.
visually, the metacycle is striking. made entirely in aluminum, the frame is available in three different colorways — rich black, silver or white. to make a strong statement, the bike features a hole where the gas tank is supposed to be, exalting its electric nature. a wireless charging station together with a display have been integrated into the frame, making it easy for the driver to drive while looking for information such as speed or battery level.
the metacycle by SONDORS is supposed to be released in the third quarter of 2021.
