连续的玻璃条穿过米拉德·什蒂亚吉在秘鲁的弧形斜坡房屋

milad eshtiyaghi suspends‘slope house 2’on V-shaped stilts

milad eshtiyaghi’s latest project (see more  on designboom here) takes shape as a continuous surface that starts from the ground and curves as it extends upwards to give form to the interior space. located on a sloping terrain in fundo san rocco, peru, the house is partially suspended above the site on V-shaped stilts that help reduce its environmental impact. meanwhile, a glass strip that starts from the building’s floor and extends all the way up to the ceiling creates a strong visual connection between the interior and the rich natural surroundings.

glass strip brings vertical view of the natural surroundings

in the design of ‘slope house 2’, milad eshtiyaghi has integrated architectural features of a previous project he developed earlier in 2021. ‘the client asked us to make a copy of the sloping house project that we had worked on before,’ explains the iran-based architectural designer. ‘but with the consent of the client, we decided to think differently and present a new design.’

similar to the original slope house, this project rests on a set of V-shaped stilts that elevate it above the steep terrain. this time however, eshtiyaghi has developed a more organic form that extends ahead of the surrounding landscape as a continuous curve. this shape is further emphasized by the presence of the continuous glass strip, which brings in a vertical panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. meanwhile, the opposite side of the house, where the entrance is located, features a small open terrace. on both sides of the front door, two trees combine with the volume and define the entrance space.
