Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) has unveiled the‘NOMADPro Canter’, a concept vehicle that supports a new remote work lifestyle while promoting a deep connection to the outside world. Based on the concept of‘harnessing the healing power of nature,’the vehicle presents itself as a lightweight truck that offers a mobile workplace with a selection of convenient amenities. The truck is based on the 2WD model of the Mitsubishi Canter, which is used in a variety of applications both in Japan and overseas.

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation’s project was born out of the rapid spread of location-independent work and digital nomads, which have upended the definition of traditional offices around the world. Among the benefits of this new phenomenon are the reduction of commuting time and the flexibilization of the whole life. On the other hand, it is said that working from home can lead to a lack of exercise and social isolation. To combat this problem, the team at MFTBC has launched NOMADPro CANTER to promote work-life balance and aid the physical and mental health of employees through teleworking.

The truck features facilities that make it convenient to work remotely. It is equipped with an adjustable table and bench that can be easily stored, as well as a workstation for two people. In addition to a movable bed, it also comes with a kitchen, sink, and shower room, so you can rest or sleep in the car after work. Although the space is compact, the wing on the right side of the car can be fully opened, allowing users to feel close to nature while working.
